Just a nice choice for a day tour in Hawick with excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making it feel like staying with good friends. Make sure to enjoy the lovely grounds for an evening walk.

The elevated location offered stunning garden views, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, equipped with modern bathrooms. the quirky layout in the tower room made the bathroom hard to access, with loose taps and a disappointing lack of basic toiletries. Dining was a mixed experience, with friendly service but issues regarding the food's quality and presentation, such as the low-quality napkins and the odd presentation of the sea bass dish.

Had a chill 3-night stay. The crew was super friendly and helped me feel at ease while dining solo. Totally enjoyed the restaurant food, it was yummy! Just wished the bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner, but no biggie. The vibe here is just nice and cozy, definitely a solo traveler highlight.

Just note that this hotel doesn’t allow pets in all rooms, so keep that in mind if allergies are a concern.

Dinner was a bit disappointing. the steak my friend ordered as rare came out medium instead. It’s worth specifying your preference if ordering meat.

The staff were a joy, always eager to get you what you needed, and the cold breakfast option was much appreciated.

I stayed for one night and was really impressed by the beautiful grounds and the friendly staff who made my experience enjoyable, while the proximity to Wilton Lodge Park, just a few steps away, offered a lovely space for leisurely strolls, not to mention the nearby Hawick Museum which is almost 3 km from the hotel and showcases fascinating local history.

Mansfield House has a charming historic feel. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, perfect for a stroll. My room was spacious and had a lovely seating area. Breakfast offered a great variety, with fresh fruit salad and a delightful smoked salmon option. Staff were attentive yet friendly, making me feel welcome. I faced a few issues. The bathroom showed signs of neglect. Loose taps and missing toilet roll holders were disappointing for a pricier stay. the lack of food options outside of main meal times was frustrating. I arrived late hoping for room service but found nothing available. It would be beneficial if they could offer at least snacks or sandwiches for late arrivals. Despite these setbacks, the overall atmosphere and beautiful views made for a pleasant stay.
